The circle is 30 miles as the crow flies. We measure by road, so a few towns just inside the line sit just outside our radius, and a few just outside are in.
As a skylight installer near Exeter, we install and replace rooflights across 30 miles around the city, so the towns above run from the Exe estuary to the edge of Dartmoor. Each town page covers its own housing stock, its roofs and ceilings, and its planning position.
Housing varies a great deal across the region: Georgian and Victorian terraces near the coast, cob and thatch in the valleys, granite and slate towards the moor, and new estates around Cranbrook. A good lining detail depends on which of those you live in, which is why each town has its own page.
